Country Place – Hideaway in the Dandenongs

 

Country Place is high in the Dandenong Ranges, situated at Kalorama in the Olinda State Forest. It overlooks the Silvan Dam and out through the Yarra Valley. yoga retreat victoria

Surrounded by towering Mountain Ash trees and green, ferny gullies the bird and animal wildlife is something to behold. Wake to the sounds of warbling magpies and laughing Kookaburras. Take an early morning walk along bush tracks and don’t be surprised to come across a wallaby, wombat or even an elusive lyrebird.

Meals

On this retreat all meals at Country Place are vegetarian and made fresh.

Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements, we will try to accommodate these. There is an additional $30 pp charge.

Itinerary

Yoga

Mornings will begin with 60-75 minute vinyasa (flow) practice to get the body moving and the mind awake and ready for the day.

On Saturday afternoon we will practice a lighter yin class.

Meditation

Our meditation sessions will follow the teachings on self-compassion and kindness, which come form the Mahayana Buddhist school of thought training.

Mantra

The mantras we will practice will be a Tibetan Buddhist mantras and form part of our meditation practice.

6pm – Arrival and Dinner

7:30am – Meditation

7:45am – Flow Yoga

9:00am – Breakfast

11:00am – Teaching and Meditation

1:00pm – Lunch

4:30pm – Yin Yoga

5:30pm – Meditation

6:00pm – Dinner

7:30pm – Teaching and Meditation

Sunday

7:30am – Meditation

7:45am – Flow Yoga

2:00pm – Depart for Olinda Falls

Guidelines

The guidelines for the yoga retreat are to assist your practice and facilitate a deeper experience.

Simple Guidelines

• Attendance at all sessions is required. If you are sick, or cannot attend for any other reasons, please inform Sanjay.
• You must attend each session promptly.
• Sometimes we will observe silence.
• No visitors will be allowed during the yoga retreat.

Keep the five Mahayana Precepts

• no killing
• no stealing
• no lying
• no sexual misconduct
• no tobacco, alcohol or other mind altering substances.

What not to Bring

• Do not bring any non-yogic reading material. A journal is ok.

Pricing

The prices for the this Yoga Retreat cover your Yoga, Meditation, teaching and practice sessions, accommodation and delicious vegetarian meals.

All share accommodation is single beds.

Bookings

Students and concession card holders receive $50 off these prices.

A $250 deposit is required to confirm your booking, full payment to secure your place. Full payment is required within 7 days of the retreat. All payments are refundable up to 14 days before the commencement of the retreat, minus booking fees of 5%. Full cost of the retreat will be forfeited if participant cancels within 14 days and the start of the retreat.
